FAQ

I deleted photos but my storage didn't go up.

Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app for up to 30 days. Open Photos > Albums > Recently Deleted and delete them there to free the space now.

Similar Photos says "Not available on this device".

Similar photo, video and screenshot grouping uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Make sure Gleamly has photo access, and try again after the scan finishes.

Gleamly only sees some of my photos.

You allowed access to selected photos only. Go to Settings > Gleamly > Photos > Full Access.

How do I make the charging animation appear when I plug in?

In Gleamly, open Tools > Charging Animation and pick a style. Then open the Shortcuts app > Automation > + > Charger > Is Connected > Run Immediately, add the action Open URLs, and paste gleamly://charge. Tap the animation to close it. It also closes when you unplug.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap Edit > Add Widget, search for Gleamly and pick a size.

I forgot my Secret Library PIN.

If you turned on Face ID or Touch ID, use it to unlock. Your PIN can't be recovered. On the lock screen, tap Forgot PIN? to erase the Secret Library and set a new PIN. This permanently deletes everything in it.

What happens to my Secret Library if I delete the app?

It's deleted permanently. It's encrypted on this device only and isn't in iCloud or backups. Export items to Photos first.

Does Gleamly cost anything?

No. Gleamly is free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads. Every feature is included and there is no daily limit.
