Hey Translator: Voice & Text

Terms of Use

Effective date: October 24, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Hey Translator: Voice & Text app ("the app"), published by Shruti Kapuriya ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA applies.

1. Using the app

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You must not misuse the app, for example by reverse-engineering it, overloading the translation service, or using it to break the law.

2. Translations

Translations are produced automatically by on-device engines (Apple Translation, Google ML Kit) and, for Pro, by Google Gemini. They can be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on the app for medical, legal, safety-critical or other important decisions without checking with a qualified human translator.

3. Hey Translator Pro subscription

4. Privacy

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Third-party services

The app relies on services from Apple, Google (Firebase, ML Kit, Gemini) and Adapty. Their use is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services.

6. Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue features of the app. We may update these Terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss resulting from reliance on a translation.
